Florida Residents
The articles/courses that are available on XrayCredits and
SonoCredits have been reviewed by the Bureau of Radiation Control,
Radiologic Technology Program and can be used for Continuing Medical
Education by Florida Radiologic Technologists. Our Florida provider
number is 3201031. Each AHRA or SDMS approved course is also
considered as Category A credit by the ARRT. The AHRA or SDMS course
number along with the Florida course number and Provider number will
appear on the certificates.
Illinois Residents
As
per the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety, Illinois Radiologic
Technologists can use the articles on XrayCredits for Continuing
Medical Education credit. These articles have been reviewed and
approved by the AHRA and are considered to be Category A credit by
the ARRT (the AHRA course number is found on each certificate). As a
reminder, 24 credits are needed by Radiologic Technologists every 2
years in the State of Illinois, of which only 12 can be indirect
credits. Currently, there are 21 articles on XrayCredits and their
categories are listed below:

Iowa Residents
Radiologic
Technologists need 24 hours of continuing education (involving
ionizing radiation) every 2 years in the State of Iowa. Those
Radiologic Technologists with a “general” license can
have 6 credits (of their 24) in the “special category”.
Those Radiologic Technologists with a “limited” license
can only have 3 hours every 2 years in the “special category”.
The Radiation Health Section of the Bureau of Radiologic Health in
the State of Iowa has reviewed all of the courses on XrayCredits.
Currently there are 21 courses on this website and 15 of these can be
used for Continuing Medical Education by Iowa Radiologic
Technologists (6 involve the topic of MRI and thus, do not have Iowa
course numbers). In addition, all of the courses have been reviewed
and approved by the AHRA and are considered as Category A credit by
the ARRT. The AHRA course number will appear on the certificate.
Likewise, all of the courses on this website have an Iowa course
number (that is printed on the certificate) except for those that
deal with MRI.
Texas Residents
Texas
Radiologic Technologists can use the articles on XrayCredits for
Continuing Medical Education credit. These articles have been
reviewed and approved by the AHRA and are considered as Category A
credit by the ARRT (the AHRA course number will appear on the
certificate). As a reminder, Radiologic Technologists with a General
Certificate (MRT) in Texas need 24 CME credits every 2 years, of
which only 12 can be “home-study courses”. The
articles/courses found on this website are considered to be “home
study courses”. Therefore, only 12 of these can be used in a
2-year period for credit in the State of Texas. For those Radiologic
Technologists who have a Limited Medical Certificate (LMRT),
currently only 12 CME credits are needed every 2 years, of which only
half can be “home study courses”. Therefore only 6 of
these can be used in a 2-year period for credit in the State of
Texas.
